Prayer Message - March 26

Hi prayer team,

Thanks for your prayers. We had a good Board meeting going over the evaluations from Mardi Gras and gleaning some things that will help in placing men in the future for their growth. We have some health issues that make it hard to do at this time, but our kids are cleaning up the place and painting.

PRAYER NEEDS:

1. Carl Johnson is in the hospital again with Pancreatitis. He needs special prayer.

2. Jim Murphy is improving, but has to go back to Denver to have a lump drained in his throat. Jim is having cabin fever, but can’t get out in the cold weather.

3. Betty Braswell is in the hospital in Carbondale and is doing some better.

4. Rick Saterfield had congestive heart failure, but has lost 50 pounds and is back to work

Thanks for your prayers.

Love ya's,

Fred

Prayer Message - March 18, 2010

Hi prayer team,

We are processing the evaluations from the men at our Mardi Gras Outreach. This is a very important week as we look at the evaluations to learn what things the Lord blessed and what things we need to change. We also look to see how people were evaluated to see which people need to move forward in leadership and which ones need to change to other venues. My secretary is putting the evaluations together and we will go over these at our Board meeting this Friday night. Please pray we will gain wisdom from the Lord through these and grow accordingly.

Jan and I are moving to Swansea, Illinois. We will be closer to our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We are excited about the move, but our health is not in the best shape for moving Please keep that in prayer.

Thanks for your love and prayers,

Fred

Prayer Message - March 1, 2010

Hi prayer partners,

I am pleased with our Mardi Gras experience this year … It is way beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

· By reading the evaluation of our men, I could see that people on the street were more open than ever before.

· Our Senior Advisors in each camp did an excellent job evaluating “strengths and weaknesses” of all the top camp leaders which was a big help for the leaders journey.

· I am overwhelmed at the pictures and videos on Facebook and other places on the web. We have never had such coverage!!

· I am so pleased to see how the leadership of each camp rallied together and were open to the Lord’s direction. I was not in very good health, yet everything worked together better than ever as the men who we have invested in for years stepped up and did much better than we did back in the day anyway. It just reveals that II Timothy 2:2 is being lived out as the men we have invested in are now investing in other and so the ministry at Mardi Gras and at home continues to grow. God is so faithful!!!

I am slowly getting better physically. I have good parts of days and then I tire out and feel more like I have the flu.

Jan and I are in the process of moving to Swansea, Illinois which is close to our kids, grandkids and great grandkids. We would be living about six houses from Zec, our grandson. We had sold our house in Du Quoin and have signed papers for the house there. We are waiting on the bank to “OK” the deal. Pray for that as a move at our age is tougher than it would have been years ago, but we are excited.

Love ya’s,

Fred
