Weekly Prayer Message, June 15, 2010

Hi prayer team,

Things are moving along well here with us.

1. Jan is doing well at her rehab
2. My rehab on the knees is beginning to do better. I am able now to walk with Shane each morning at 6:30 for two miles. I love it!
3. I am enjoying watching our son and grandson in law play softball. Life is good on the diamond! I love seeing sports draw men to the Lord.
4. The evaluations from the Indy 500 Outreach look good and shows some ways we can improve. It was obvious the Lord touched some of the men’s lives.

Prayer needs:

1. Our Board meeting is Friday night at Christ UMC in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
a. Pray for us to pick up on what the Lord was pleased with and for us to pick up on what needs to be changed.
2. I have put the farm house where we lived before in the paper to rent and my sister, Halene, is showing the house. Pray for us to have good renters that will be a blessing for them and for us.
3. Pray for Roy Pigg, from Tennessee, as he is in Peru on a mission trip for the next two years.
4. Pray for Betty Braswell’s health to continue to improve so she can take Jerry and Boo Johnson to Honduras in view of turning her ministry down there over to them. Her Doctor says she needs to wait another 6 months before considering such a trip.
5. Pray for Wayne and Connie Sanders about the death of Connie’s father.

We are enjoying the summer and the Lord is so good!

Love ya’s,
Fred

Weekly Prayer Message - June 7, 2010

Hi prayer partners,

Thanks for your prayer covering for us and for No Greater Love Ministries!!

1. Pray for the men who went to the Indy 500 to witness with NGL that the Lord will help them "ponder" what happened there and may it give them a desire to go farther with the Lord, personally, with family and with the direction in life the Lord gives them the desire to set out doing. Psalm 37:4 (New Living Translation) Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires.

2. Pray for my secretary, Abby's, mother. She is doing better, but still needs much prayer.

3. Pray for us as we go through the "evaluations" of the men from the Indy trip to have wisdom to see what the Lord reveals to help each man move on in the direction the Lord has gifted each man.

4. With the loss of our checkbook from the farm, personal and the ministry, it has made quite a mess trying to straighten out the records. Since Jan has been sick, that has to be done by me AND this is not my best area and I always want to put it off. Pray for wisdom and insight.

5. I am no longer living on the old farm where I grew up. However, I have been getting some upkeep done on it and now we need wisdom on what to do with the farm. I have three sisters and we must all agree on whether to rent it or sell the farm. That hasn't happened so far and yet it needs attention.

I pray you will all have a good summer and enjoy the Lord in all you do.

Thanks!
Love ya's,

Fred

My special verse for the day: Psalm 70:4 (The Message) Let those on the hunt for you sing and celebrate. Let all who love your saving way say over and over, "God is mighty!"

Special Prayer Need - June 02, 2010

Hi prayer team,

We have a special need this afternoon. First, thanks so much for stepping
up praying for the Indy mission trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It was harder for me
staying than it was going. However, I knew we were in good hands with the
guys and with the Lord! God is good!

TODAY WE HAVE A PRAYER NEED:

My secretary Abby's mother, Sally, was taken to the hospital last weekend
with her lungs filling up with fluid and her heart only beating few times
per minute.  She had pulmonary edema and pulmonary embolism.  She had blood
clots and they are giving her cumin to thin her blood.  She was improving
and Abby took her home yesterday as they were trying to regulate the cumin.
However, early this morning Sally had to go back to the hospital and was
taken to ER and then to CCU.

Please keep Sally, the family and the hospital staff in your prayers
especially today!

Thanks!

In Jesus,
Fred
