Weekly Prayer Request, April 26, 2011

Hi prayer team,

I pray everyone had a great Holy Week and a great Resurrection Sunday!!!!!

1. We do have another place to house the guys for the Indy 500 Outreach!! PTL!

2. Due to Easter being so late this year, it has run us late in promoting the Indy 500 Outreach. Please be in prayer as we gear up this week in promotion for the Indy.

3. My car was in a hail storm a couple weeks ago and now the insurance company is working with me on the damage. The hail was larger than a quarter and I have about 50 dings. It was our board day and we were playing golf. Someone asked why we were playing golf if it was hailing. Well, we had to go in BECAUSE we couldn't tell which "ball" was ours!!!! Humor!

Weekly Prayer Request, April 20, 2011

Hi prayer team,

I would appreciate your prayers for Troy Benitone and Andy Johnson as they go to Indianapolis tomorrow on church business. They will also check out two places that could be possibilities for housing a "camp" for us at the Indy 500.

All is going well, keep praying for the leaders in each area of the country to be anointed as they enlist others to join them in coming out to the Indy with us to share Jesus with the Indy 500 crowd.

We are very much in need of clown suits. Some of our suits are very old and ragged. Betty Braswell, Lela Roberts and Theresa Ralls are taking on the project of making some suits for us. That will help some, but we will be needing many more before Mardi Gras next February. Keep that in your prayers and if you know anyone who could help in this project, let us know!

Let us pray for all our churches as we look forward to great services on EASTER as we celebrate our RISEN LORD!!!

Weekly Prayer Request, April 11, 2011

Hi NGL partners,

The Indianapolis 500 is coming up soon and we have run into some "hurdles. One host church we stayed at during the past few years is no longer available to us. I am searching out a new place to stay. Please keep that in prayer. We will be meeting this Friday night at Community of Faith Church for our monthly Advisory Board Meeting. Pray for us to have wisdom as we plan out the Indy 500.

Please pray for the Lord to call forth men for this mission adventure. My number one goal is to train Christian leaders. We need to have men who are faithful at the Mardi Gras AND the Indy 500 so we can guide them through the "process" from being in a group and learning the basic disciplines to being a group leader and assisting the leader and then to becoming a group leader and taking charge of a group of men doing all the basic disciplines and helping each man work through the various "gifts" in his life and to eliminate the various "weaknesses" in his life. At the fastest pace, it takes three events at least to work a person through the process.

I know that each man of God has special "gifts and graces" and it is my goal in life to help each man find his and "usher" him along the journey. Sarge started out at Mardi Gras and many others got their starts at Mardi Gras or the Indy 500.

Pastor Troy Benitone just returned from taking a medical group to Liberia. Liberia is open to the gospel especially right now as they have a Christian president. What an opportunity for the body of Christ. Troy will be sharing the video of his trip at our Board meeting.
