Praying for the Retreat!

Hi prayer team!!

Our Men's retreat is this Friday and Saturday. We need your prayer for the Lord to call forth men for His service and that the Lord will work in each of our hearts and unite us together to hear, see and experience Him in each other. Please pray for Roger Lipe and Troy Benitone as our featured speakers and for others who will be sharing their testimonies and for the music as we worship the Lord together.

Thanks,
Love ya's,

Fred

Weekly Prayer Requests; Sep 6, 2011

Hi partners,

Thanks for your prayers.

1. We have had good responses from our Clown Suit project. PTL! Pray for those who have committed to making suits and are in the process of making them.

2. We are using E-mail to promote our Men’s Retreat
a. Pray for the corrections to the E-mail addresses as many are being returned as no longer valid. This is a real hurdle right now.

3. This week we will concentrate more on the Area Leaders in our promotion. Pray for the Lord to quicken and anoint them as they get on board and enlist the men in their areas of influence.

a. With our model of Psalm 133, the anointing needs to reach out to these leaders this week.

4. We have problems getting our “flyers” for the event in a form that all can use to make copies for their church bulletin boards. Pray for the corrections needed for that to happen.

5. We have a great agenda that will be a benefit to every man who comes with us. I am thankful for that.

a. Pray for Roger Lipe as he will be sharing Friday night on “Proverbial” Leadership.

b. Pray for Troy Benitone as he will be sharing Saturday on how to see where we are and how to “read” where others are as we witness to them.

c. I am excited about both of these men and what they will be sharing.

On a personal note, my three sisters and I celebrate our birthdays together each year at the Du Quoin State Fair. Our parents always took us to the Fair and mom always make “peanut rolls.” I had Mark’s Bakery in Du Quoin to make fresh, night before, peanut rolls for the party. It is one of my highlight times of the year. This year, my son, Shane went with me and that was special. What a wonderful gift it is to have family and to get along together so well. As each of us siblings each have our own “clans” now, that one day at the Fair is the closest thing to Christmas with them as I can imagine. I have three sisters. My oldest sister, Halene, has a birthday on September 4th and my youngest sister, Sue, has a birthday on September 6th. So I moved my middle sister, Dona’s birthday from July 17th to September 5th as she is my middle sister and my birthday is September 12th. So we get to do it all together. I love it!!!!!

Love ya’s

Fred
