Weekly Prayer Requests, September 2, 2012

Hi NGL friends,

This past weekend was a special time for me.  My three sisters and I celebrated our birthdays together at the Du Quoin State Fair.  We had peanut rolls like our mother made when we were children and going to the fair.  Each year that is one of the most special days of the year for me.  Yet, I think it grows more special each year as we don’t take our getting together as much for granted as we did years ago.  We love to tell old stories and just reminisce about old times of our childhood.

I never cease to be amazed at the power of prayer.  The older I get, the more overwhelmed I find myself so often.  WAH!!!!!  I could use some “cheese” with all my whine!   Every year, I think the song the Okies sing fits me more:  “I Need You More.”  This past week, we had electronic problems: cell phone and the e-mail with our ngl1fred@frontier.com wouldn’t work.  Now, today, I only send and receive e-mails through ngl1fred@nogreaterlove.org.

It seems that when the devil strikes, it comes in waves.  So I am calling on you for intercession in this area.  I sent out something for help last week and then found out it didn’t go out.

Other needs:

1. Pray for our upcoming Annual Men’s Retreat on September 28-9 at Community of Faith Church in Carterville, Illinois.  Pray for the Lord to bring forth laborers for His harvest.  Pray for the anointing of the Lord to come and settle among us.

2. I have three speaking engagements coming up speaking on “Basic Evangelism.”  I am believing for these messages to help the people personally, in their church and for the Lord to touch some of the men to join up with us at the Men’s Retreat and then on to Mardi Gras.

Thanks so much for your love, prayers, concern and support.

Love ya’s,

Fred
