Hi everyone,

This is our latest report from Jeannie concerning the situation with Jeff Pursley at the hospital in Hattiesburg, AL.

Subject: Latest update

Good evening! Boy, we've had a whirlwind day. Sitting here right now, watching a "tornado" reflection move right at us. Lightning, thunder, and darkness. Father, please calm the storm. Sorry I didn't get an update out yesterday. Internet kept kicking me off.

Jeff has been very busy today. Had dialysis early. Five hours treatment. Got back to his room, ready for a nap. No such luck. Nurses, lunch. Doctors, nurses, physical therapists, student nurses, dinner, bath, on & on. Finally, around 5:00 pm, he was given a break. Fell right asleep. Then at 6:00, here they came again. Poor Jeff.

Physically, he is much improved. The catheter was removed today. Physical therapy continues to help him regain his strength. More dialysis scheduled for Monday. They continue to monitor daily, so we make new goals daily.

Thank you, Father, for calming the storm.

Missing all of you!

Update on Jeff Pursley - 2/26/2012

Hi prayer partners,

Our Mardi Gras trip went great. However, Jeff Pursley was stricken with some sort of virus that couldn’t be determined until the tests were sent to Atlanta and made into cultures and then determined. Jeff was taken to the hospital in Hattiesburg, MS by Ivan Lusicic and Ron Turnbull. They stayed with him until Jeff’s wife could come down with the kids. Jeff’s kidney’s shut down and he had many complications. That was a week ago Friday. The virus was diagnosed by Monday and the progress has been slow. Last night was the biggest improvement yet as is reported by Jeannie, Jeff’s wife.

Keep praying!!!

Love ya’s,

Fred

Good evening!

Praise the Lord! Jeff had a fantastic day!!! He had dialysis today, and they removed approx. 7 lbs. of fluid from him. His swelling is going down!!! The blistered leg is beginning to heal.

The blisters have ruptured, and with the reduced fluids, are beginning to dry up. His kidneys are producing more every day, and the rest of the internal organs are responding, too!!! (I'm so happy :) !!!) He is still in the ICU, but he gets very good care there. The nurses are wonderful!

He was awake most of the afternoon and evening, then ate all his dinner before getting any pain medication. Then I sat with him until he went to sleep. All in all, a great day! I am hoping that he will be strong enough to be transported home soon. Mississippi is nice, but there's no place like home.

Thank you all for your prayers and support!

In His service,
Jeff & Jeannie Pursley

Update on Jeff Pursley - 2/22/2012

Hello prayer friends,

This is the report today concerning Jeff Pursley. Jeff was with us at Mardi Gras, but came down with some type of virus they couldn’t detect which one. So he was put in the hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. His kidney’s shut down and they put him on dialysis trying to clean his blood. He has been in the hospital since last Friday. They did finally find out the virus and now he is getting antibiotics to kill the virus. Below is the report today from his wife, Jeanie. She is down in Hattiesburg with him. Ron Turnbull and Ivan Lusic, both NGL men, stayed with Jeff throughout the weekend.

Thanks for your prayers and concerns.

In His service,
Fred

PS: Mardi Gras went well. We had 253 men with us for the event.

Subject: Jeff's morning News

2-22-12

Good morning! I seem to be having trouble typing this morning, so please forgive my errors. Jeff had a good night. He managed to get rest most of the time, according to the nurse. This morning, he is rather sleepy, though. The doctor came in, and was reporting the latest blood results.

Today's issue is his liver. He seems to have an elevated level of biliruebens.
These are what show up in jaundice. The doctor has scheduled an ultra sound, and then he will compare the results to previous tests. Jeff's skin has been "yellow", and it is from this. Appearantly, sunlight is not the option for this.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement! I share each one with Jeff as he is able. We truely are blessed to have such Prayer Warriors on our side. We have been given a vision, and a warning I would ike to share with you.

The vision is of Jeff, laying in his bed, with his guardian angel (the same one who stood at Mardi Gras) standing behind him. The angel is staring at an evil presence, protecting Jeff. Jesus is in the room, and lays his hand upon Jeff"s belly. The Heavenly host is circling the room. Thank you Lord for healing Jeff!!!

The warning comes from Psalm 22: 11a - Do not be far from me, because distress is near and there is no one to help.

Prayer Warriors, Intercessors, Friends, words can not alone express how much you mean to us, and we love you all!!!

Jesus Blessings on your life today and every day!

Love,
Jeff & Jeannie Pursley
