2011 Men's Retreat Recap

Hi prayer partners,

We had a great Men’s Retreat. Thanks for your prayers.

The content shared by Roger Lipe on Wisdom from the Book of Proverbs was great and the small groups help apply the things to our lives. Troy Benitone share on how to evaluate our lives and the lives of others. We had three sessions with Troy and the material was not only good but practical. All of us were challenged after assessing where we are and where we want to be, then explaining how to get out of where we are and get to where we ought to be with the Lord. Troy’s was also helpful with simple ways of determining where others are by the questions they ask. We have the messages on CD and will have a printed material which will be a help for us who attended and for those who couldn’t be with us.

Jan and I are out in Rapid City, SD visiting our daughter, Jill, Craig and Josie. This is the first vacation we have had in years and this country is so different from Southern Illinois. Thanks for your prayers as we spend time with our family here and get renewed for the upcoming preparation for Mardi Gras. I was overwhelmed with the Badlands. There is no way to imagine it looking at pictures.

I didn’t realize how much tension I have in my joints and muscles. Being around such sights and feeling so small, allows me to relax and it is slowly feeling very good! Jan is excited being with our daughter and family. It is helping her a lot with her health.

Be praying for Abby, our NGL Office Administrator, as she works on processing the Men’s Retreat, manages the clown project and collects information to help us for the upcoming Mardi Gras.

Thanks for your love and prayers.

Love ya’s,
Fred
