Prayer Requests for October 20th

Hi prayer partners,

Jan and I are in Rapid City, SD. Our daughter’s husband, Craig, was transferred by the Air Force for his last two years of military service. This was difficult as Jan was so close to Jill and our granddaughter, Josie.

We are enjoying the countryside here as it is so different from Illinois. We have seen the presidents on Mt. Rushmore, the carving of Crazy Horse, the Indian, on a large rock, Spearfish Canyon and the Badlands. I was most impressed with the Badlands. It is indescribable.

Jan hadn’t traveled outside our local area for over a year since her open heart surgery. Yet, she wanted to see Jill and Josie enough to brave the trip. The change I see in her here is unbelievable. It is so good to hear her laugh again. She looks ten years younger. PTL! What a blessing!

Due to our modern technology, I am able to keep up with most everything. I have my computer and the internet. I have a lot of time alone to study, pray and plan.

Thanks for your prayers for us. God has answered in a marvelous way I couldn’t have imagined.

PRAYER NEEDS:

1. Sarge’s wife, Sue, had a bad spell in Viet Nam, but was to come home from the hospital today.

2. Howard Madden’s wife, Carol, had a bad spell, but is doing better.

3. Ron Kuhnert’s wife and my cousin, Joan, are still hanging in there with Joan battling cancer. Roger Lipe sends her Bible verses each day and she looks forward to receiving those from him. Please remember her and Ron.

4. One of the Alumni from the school where I taught in the Philippines, Alice Asong, is in Cambodia working with an orphanage. They are having flooding and the water is rising. Some have already died. Please remember her and the work there.

5. Jan is so good here and it is good for Jill and Josie during this transition period. I feel like the three disciples on the mountain with Jesus just wanting to stay here. It is like a dream to see Jan, Jill and Josie together. Pray we will know when to leave for home.

I am so thankful for all of you who pray for us and the ministry. It means so much to me.

Love ya’s,

Fred
