We had a good Advisory Board Meeting last Friday night at Christian Life Center Church in Herrin, Illinois. We are working on our Annual Men’s Retreat in September. We spent a lot of time evaluating ourselves and each other from material in the book “De-Railed” by Tim Irwin. This will be one of the books we will be using for our ministry this coming year and sharing more on it at our Men’s Retreat. The other book we will be using is “Beautiful Outlaw” by John Etheredge. We will be discussing this book at our next Board meeting. It has been very enlightening about the many facets of Jesus’ personality. I loved it!
Prayers needed:
• Pastor Charlie Houston from Gateway Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX needs our prayers concerning his lack of proper heart function.
• Pray for my Office Manager, Abby Emling, as she is leading a youth group witnessing at the “Ark” in Panama City Beach, FL.
• Pray for our continuing preparation for our Men’s Retreat.
• I will be preaching this Sunday at Trinity UMC in West Frankfort, Illinois.
